How It All Began My fascination with the mind started back in high school when I studied psychology at the GCSE level. The way people think and behave has always intrigued me, and this interest eventually led me into the field of mental health. Since 2018, I’ve been helping people from diverse backgrounds, both young adults and older individuals, work through short- and long-term challenges.
My Journey in Mental Health In 2018, I started my career as a mental health practitioner in supported housing, where I worked with young people and adults dealing with complex conditions like personality disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. The hands-on experience I gained there helped shape my empathetic and tailored approach to therapy.
By 2019, I had joined a community mental health team, where I supported individuals experiencing psychosis. These roles gave me a deep understanding of how varied mental health challenges can be, and how crucial individualised care is for long-term recovery.
Connecting with the Community Since 2021, I’ve been actively working within the Gujarati community, delivering mental health workshops and creating bespoke well-being programs in Gujarati. This work has allowed me to bring awareness and tools for mental health to people who might not have had easy access before.
My Practice Today Today, I specialise in treating a range of anxiety and depression-related disorders, from OCD, social anxiety, PTSD, and panic disorder, to stress, health anxiety, phobias, and body dysmorphia. I work with individuals facing both mild and severe presentations, tailoring each session to their unique needs and personal goals.
I also supervise trainee therapists, ensuring they practice ethically and follow NICE guidelines, helping to shape the next generation of mental health professionals.
